Ajarns are former Monk’s who has decided to follow the Magical Arts as a career choice after leaving the Temple and life as a Monk. Sak Yant Arjans create their own Samnaks (Blessed and Holy rooms for Magical work), tend to have greater tattoo skills than Monks.
As the Sak Yant Masters in Phuket are no longer supported by the Temple and have higher living costs, so prices will generally be high in Phuket than other locations around Thailand. However the Ajarn will often either speak English or have staff that do, and can talk with the customer and get their views on which Sak Yant Tattoo they would like or think best for them.
